I was contacted by a 3rd party recruiter, we discussed my CV which they had found online and they said they would get an interview booked in. I didn't hear anything for 1.5 weeks. They called back asking if I was still interested and I said yes. Within a day, a virtual interview was set up.
This was with two members of staff. It began informally. Talking of hobbies listed on my CV then dived into one of them asking me question after question. After 30mins of this, I was asked if I had any questions, which I did. During this, one of them checked his phone.
I left the interview not entirely sure what the role included as the answer given when I asked what an average day looked like was vague and I had no feelings of excitement towards the role or company.
I was offered the job two days later. I told the recruiter that I still didn't know what exactly the job was. They arranged for the interviewer to call me back later that day. They did call me back and it still wasn't clear and the salary offered was way too low for what I would have expected.
