An initial screening call with the recruiter (who reached out to me first) followed by 5 interviews across the team, each asking me pretty much the same questions.
I was reluctant to go for the job as they'd already completed a cycle of recruitment, but no candidate matched their needs. This was an immediate red flag to me. With hundreds of applicants for the first wave of recruitment, it seemed more like an unclear vision of the ideal person within the hiring team than the talent not being present.
Regardless, I went through the process, feeling more confident the further I got. At the end of the fifth stage, I was told I didn't have enough experience for the position and that I was up against candidates with 15 years experience (admittedly, I only have 10, so I'm basically a newborn). This was such an eye roll moment - I should have trusted my intuition.
I'd wasted a colossal amount of time in a process with Peloton when I could have been interviewing for companies that don't take liberties with people's time and have a sensible approach to their hiring process.
