I had two interviews: the first one happened on Skype and the second one directly in Vienna. The interviews were friendly and professional. However, I cannot say that I had a positive experience with this company.
The second interview took place 5 weeks after my application. During this interview, I was told that they’d likely get back with a decision the week after. This did not happen. Two weeks later (… after the second interview), they contacted me and told me that they were going to make a decision the following week and that they would call me then.
As I already expected by that time, this did not happen. After sending them a follow-up email, asking for an update at the end of the week, I received a response (almost a week later) in which they told me that they had made an offer to another candidate because he/she had a bit more experience than me but that they still found my profile interesting. Literally ten minutes after I got the e-mail, the job ad was reposted on both Linkedin and their website! I thought it was a good company but to be honest, this experience shocked me a little bit.
First of all, the whole process took 2.5 months, which is a long time even for a big company. And seriously, Paysafecard in Vienna is not that big. Secondly, I’m not annoyed because they have rejected me, but just for how and when it happened. If you don’t want to hire somebody because he/she is not good enough, you don’t need to wait five weeks to tell them and then make up stories that there was another candidate who was better.
