Unfortunately, this was an extremely drawn-out interview process where I got the distinct sense that those doing the hiring did not know what they wanted. After a call with HR, an interview with a team member, and a detailed strategy assignment - a process that took more than 2 months - I was informed that they had changed the level/requirements of the position and elected to promote someone from within. In retrospect, I suspect the interview process may have been a formality to enable an internal promotion.
