Recruiter chat, algorithm coding interview, architecture interview, then a chat with the HR head.
Overall the process went well accept with the engineering lead who interviewed me. He seemed out of his depth in terms of being able to communicate, or he was trying to do that thing where the interviewer throws you off to figure out how you handle stress.
During the first interview with the engineering leader, I asked how he goes about retaining engineers and what the career advancement opportunities are at the company. For a pretty standard question, his response was, "everyone knows to advance your career nowadays you have to go and find a new job every two years. I accept that so I encourage people to do that."
They rejected me in the final round but to be candid I would've turned down the offer if it had been made. Overall the company seems to have poor engineering leadership.
