Using the term "conversation" puts the applicant at ease because you think it is just going to be a casual conversation. However, applicants do need to prepare for the "conversation". Know that you are a leader and have examples of how you have demonstrated it. To prepare for the conversation, I would review Opaa!'s website and their Facebook page. It will give you insight to their culture, history, and values. As with any interview, know your strengths and weaknesses, know why you want to apply for the position, and be positive. After the conversation, you will move on to the next stage. The regional director will reach out to you and setup a time to do an in person interview with him and others. Dress professionally, hair tidy, no excessive make up or jewelry, clean nails, etc. You need to be prepared to answer questions, make eye contact, and have examples of your leadership, times there was conflict, how you handled it, and why you would be perfect for the job.
