I applied online and received a call about a week or so later, and the interview was scheduled for the following Thursday. I was told to bring along an item I was passionate about. It was a group interview, with four other people there. We waited at the front of the store until the official time of the interview and then was led to the back, where chairs were set up in a circle. The hiring manager was really laid back, and young, so it was a relaxing environment. She had us fill out our name, email, phone number and availability on a blank piece of paper on a clipboard that she passed around. She then introduced herself, and explained how we would be working holidays, as we were a seasonal position, and that we would be cross-trained in a lot of different positions at the store. After, we went around and told why we brought the certain item that we were passionate about- I had volunteered to go first. When that was over, she sent us off into the store to pick out a winter item, and accessory, and an item we liked. Once everyone was back in the room, we had to explain what was what and why we chose it. She then told us that normally she would have us try and sell the items to her but she would be skipping that part. The last major step was when she asked us what we thought we would struggle with most at Old Navy. She sort of was acting as if we were just more at a meeting and less at an interview, never really officially announcing anything about being called. Me and another guy stayed at the end to ask questions, and he went before I did and basically asked my question for me. She said we would be notified by the end of the week if we got the job, and that was last Thursday. It's now the following Thursday and I haven't heard from them, so I'm assuming it was a no. I do have another interview today with a different store so I'm hoping that pans out better.
