Completed an initial phone screen. Recruiter called me and put me on speaker phone, could barely hear them or understand what they were saying. Told them all about me and then they asked a bunch of questions about my experience that I had already answered. Next step was salary... I actually low balled the salary by about $10,000 and it was still $20,000 more than they were willing to pay --- At this point the recruiter essentially hung up on me and didn't even ask me if I had questions (which I did).
Phone screen was okay, typical screening questions you'd expect from recruiting. However, a lot of focus on tools and technologies used rather than design skills which caught me off guard.

Got a referral and applied, heard back from the recruiter in 2 weeks and got an initial phone screen to discuss my past experience, design process. It went well and I got into 2nd round with HM, recruiter told me this round would dive into my portfolio and talk about a project I led, i thought it was a portfolio review, but turned out to be mostly behavioral interviews. Wish I could get clear instructions on the interview process, And I got rejected a few days later.
