There is a long application process. I put a long of work into the essays and making sure everything was formatted correctly. From there, I had a 20 minute phone call and I had the internship by the following week.

Potential mentors asked about specific projects mentioned in the resume. They also gave details about the potential projects one might work on. The interviewer was friendly and mindful of the student expertise~ didn't ask high-level questions.

The experience was good. I was asked questions regarding my technical skills as well as my understanding of biological concepts. They also asked about my past research experiences and my aspirations for the future.
