3 Online Calls, 1. HR, 2. Technical Assessment, 3. Partner
Went into the process telling them what salary I was earning at that time and what I expected from them. All good. After clearing all the interviews, the HR called me, telling me the good news and that I would get the salary I wanted or even a bit more, so I was really happy.
...After another 15 minutes she calls me again saying she made a mistake with the salary and it would be (much) lower - eventually being even lower than what I told them was my salary at the time.
What you will hear a lot is how many benefits they have, how many parties they have, how quickly you will get promotions, key words like "T-shape" and "choose your own path". Also, if you know any people at the company, and the responsible HR knows about it, be prepared to hear from them, "casually" asking you about how the process is going and nudging you towards the "right" direction.
I have a strong feeling, also after reading other reviews, that the company preferably hires freshers and people with less experience, luring them in with promises of quick jumps in the hierarchy, a strong inner community and the possibility to "choose your own path".
The quick jumps are possible because you start off with a low fresher salary and get a jump of as minimal as few k, getting the next fancy AC/BC/YC+ XYZ level title.
What also makes me think is that the parting words in the call (where I declined the offer) were something like "just ping me if you change your mind anytime in the future. But it should be within the next 0.5-1 year from now - people with more experience don't get our culture and the way we work"
