There were 3 rounds. 1. Technical round: basic core java question though in depth knowledge required. Questions: Hashmap internal working, question on class loader, collections, oops concepts, string pool concept, questions on webservice etc. Asked for output of sample programs a. write a logic to reverse a string with recursion b. find second highest number from array 2. For second round : Managerial Questions related to my projects, other skills 3. HR : As usual , discussion on salary and why you want to change. After that i have waited for 1 week, no one contact me, so i called HR to get an updated on the offer letter. Later they told me your CTC is high and we are not able to proceed with your profile. Surprisingly before the interview i have already told my expectation. I don't understand if you don't have budget to hire then why wasting candidate time to conduct interview and later anyways you are going to say you can't pay. BTW: I have only asked less then 30% hike on my current salary. So even they don't want to go with salary hike as per industry standard. Advice to HR: Before interview you keep calling, once done with interview you stop responding calls, at least inform the candidate your final decision don't keep them waiting for your response.
