The process involved two HR interviews, followed by a discussion with the hiring manager. Before the final round, I was asked to complete and present a case study one hour prior to the interview. At the very beginning of the process, I had clearly asked if there was an internal successor for the role—specifically to avoid investing time and effort unnecessarily, as this wasn’t my first time going through this with Nestlé. I was told there wasn’t. After completing all interviews and putting in significant effort, including the case study, I received a call from HR confirming I had been selected—only to be told later that the role was put on hold. Despite multiple follow-ups from my side, I was eventually informed that the role had been filled internally. This was extremely disappointing, especially considering I had directly asked this question at the start, and received misleading reassurance. It’s the third time this has happened to me with Nestlé, and I strongly suspect they frequently post roles that are not genuinely open.
