I filled out a application form online and if they choose you will receive an email in a couple of days for an interview with the department that you are interested in. It was by zoom meeting.

Submit application and letters of recommendations. Followed by first round of interviews. If passed the first round, you’ll will be asked to schedule to participate in a series of assessments in the second round. Once passed you will be invited to meet with the team, where an offer letter is sent out for your acceptance or decline.

Pretty simple, I had an interview with a panel of professors that work in the department and they each took turns asking me basic interview questions. The department chair was also in the room asking questions. They each discussed their position and research interests, and then gave me the opportunity to ask them questions regarding their work.
