Me postulé en línea. El proceso tomó 3 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en Milwaukee Tool (Brookfield, WI) en mar 2019

      Entrevista

I was very optimistic about this opportunity, but as I got further along in the interview process the more red flags there were. The whole interview process took about three weeks. I had two phone interviews before I was invited to come in to interview in person. HR asked me for a date and time that best fit my schedule, but after providing them with flexible dates and times, they kept responding back that nothing worked. I finally said, "Can you give me some dates and times that work for your team?" Once the interview was officially set, I took off time at my current job as HR asked for a three hour time slot. HR called four times within one day to reschedule, then retract, reschedule etc. We played the same game where they asked me to give them dates and times (again, a very flexible schedule) and nothing I said worked. I then asked the same question, "Can you give me some dates and times that work for your team?" A week later I went in for the interview. I arrived 10 minutes early and the interview started on time. The first two gentlemen (out of five I would interview with that day) led me to the cafeteria/common space where I would sit for the rest of the process. It was a very loud, the sun from the skylights glared in my eyes the entire time, the interviewers got distracted by friendly faces passing by and they didn't seem prepared with interview questions. Each interview lasted about 30 minutes, I did most of the talking and I was never offered water or any sort of refreshment. At one point, I was being interviewed for a completely different position, unbeknownst to me. I finally met with the hiring manager who would be overseeing the position. His interview questions didn't make sense and he struggled to get through them as he would start a question, take very long pauses and then go on a different path coming up with an entirely new question. The best part about the interview process was being asked to bring in a board game to teach the team how to play. Although it was something that I found fun and different, it extended the entire interview an hour past the time that was originally allotted. At the end I was walked out very quickly and abruptly by the hiring manager. He pushed the door open for me to leave and said, "Nice to meet you." and that was the end. I followed up with a "thank you" email to HR, asking to pass along to the hiring manager (as I was not provided with contact information). I did not receive a job offer, but instead was given a description of a position that they thought I would be "better suited for," that barely paid above minimum wage (as posted on Glassdoor). The position I applied for had an average pay of $65k a year. The entire thing was exhausting and after investing a lot of time and effort I was highly insulted with the outcome of being sent a position that I was overqualified for. The hype about this company was not embodied in this interview and I am very disappointed.
