Medxcel contacted me based on LI profile. I did not have a favorable view of their "brand" due to past employees and reputation as a below-market performers in compensation (admittedly, they are owned by a non-profit). I listened to the position overview and other info; recruiter commented that they are growing and it's a bit of challenge due to non-profit status and requirement for many leadership and critical SME roles to be office-based in Indianapolis. Recruiter claimed that I would be a "perfect fit" and hiring leader "loved" my LI Profile. I agreed to a conversation with the hiring leader, and provided the recruiter with not just my resume but a document detailing specific projects/properties he identified. He also was persistent in asking me for referrals for other roles at Medexcel in the prop mgmt arena. I told him that I am always happy to make those connections, and I would pull together some names to share when he circled back to schedule interviews. Point of this review is as follows - Recruiter and hiring leader ghosted me; never circled back re interviews and have not responded to my inquiries (4 weeks elapsed). Now, I am happily employed in current role but I can see where someone not working would be frustrated by this. Also, if Medxcel is trying to improve their employer brand and overcome lower pay, Indianapolis-only office for many roles and the non-profit challenges this is certainly not a smart approach. I shared this info with network contacts who have been customer or employee of Medxcel and consensus was "not surprised".
