On Mar. 9th, 2017, my Veteran Services Case Manager with Goodwill of the Olympics and Rainer emailed me this job lead with opportunity to be a candidate referral through the MAXIMUS Lead Outreach Specialist. After reading the Glassdoor reviews for MAXIMUS and National Center for Telehealth and Technology (T2), I applied for the position on Mar. 15th, in the online MAXIMUS job application portal and let my veteran service case manager know to refer me as a candidate to the MAXIMUS Lead Outreach Specialist. On Mar. 20th, I received a forwarded email from my case manager from the lead outreach specialist that she would alert the hiring manager for review of my application/resume. On Mar. 23rd, I received an email and voice mail from a MAXIMUS Technical Recruiter. I called the recruiter back and did 1st interview (phone) with her. Recruiter then set me up with a phone interview with a VP at MAXIMUS for Mar. 24th. Recruiter was helpful by recommending what I should reinforce with the VP. On Mar. 24th, I did a 2nd interview (phone) with VP. VP set me up with a 3rd interview (in person - 1:1) with incumbent serving in Marketing Strategist position at T2 for Mar 28th. On Mar. 28th, I met with incumbent at a Starbucks and we had a great conversation. I learned more about the position and work culture. On Mar. 29th, I called recruiter as a follow up and she said she wanted to talk to incumbent before getting back to me; expect contact within 24-72 hours. On Mar. 31st, I emailed recruiter in morning and spoke with her in the afternoon. 1st phone call, recruiter stated she hasn't been able to talked with incumbent yet and to expect a call to me after the weekend. 2nd phone call, recruiter set me up with 4th and final interview (phone) with prime contract (Reingold, Inc.) to T2 client scheduled for Apr. 3rd. Recruiter gave me the option to do a pre-interview conversation with VP, which I accepted. Because it was spring break week, I had an already planned family vacation to Canada. Although I committed to the interview, I was concerned about cellular reception. I called my cellular service provider and they put me on an international calling plan for free. On Apr. 3rd, I sat in my car in parking lot at a ferry terminal for the interview. At 10am, I talked with the VP to prep for interview with Reingold, Inc. It was very helpful. At 10:30am, Reingold's Creative Director called me. We had a great conversation. After phone call, I called VP as a follow up. Recruiter called me back to let me know everything was positive and to wait for next steps. Recruiter called me later that day to inform me I won the job. On Apr. 4th, recruiter called and emailed me official job offer. After reviewing the terms, I accepted the job offer. Recruiter then emailed me some online background authorization and hyperlink to set up new employee profile with payroll information. I also had to fill out an I-9 form to bring with me to orientation. I emailed VP job offer acceptance. First day of work was agreed to be Apr. 10th, the day after spring break. The difficulty in the process only came from ambiguity in questions from different people at different interview times. Questions are what I remember from all the interviews.
