phone interview, asked basic questions like experience etc. until I asked what the pay range was and was surprised it was exceptionally low even for entry level ,(which I am not.,) especially for CA cost of living ,

I asked what the salary range was , it was well below the going rate for an average engineering technician and about 15000 a year less than i currently make . So I passed , not sure why anyone with a college degree should have to be paid that low , or how they could meet basic needs like rent in California.
