      Entrevista

Imagine having to be found on Linkedin. then given a job offer. Then imagine having to go through hoops before an interview was confirmed. During my time with the hiring manager, things would almost turn out pretty well. We spoke through email and she like my resume at first. The problem was the constant nitpicking to have the right resume and cover letter so her suggestion was to speak with an "expert" resume writer. That I did, but I didn't need to shell out cash to have my resume improved when I have a guy for that. My cover letter also didn't need improvement to sound more generic when my previous version read closer to my thoughts. That was an additional transaction that I didn't want to spend, but I did anyway. But it didn't stop there, since there was this things called the "icims code" that wasn't brought up until recently. Apparently it's used to authenticate resumes and more. In order to find this code, I'd need to spend yet another sum on the same "expert". That was when I questioned the entire job process and told them I can't continue working with them. Whatever happened to straightforward evaluation and just offering your documents to move on to the next step? It sure is taking too long for a "low-demand" job as there is a sunken-cost fallacy and just "one more thing" after another when the offer isn't guarantee to succeed.
