Me postulé en línea. El proceso tomó 1 día. Acudí a una entrevista en Macy's en mar 2010

After applying online, I received an email a few days later to schedule myself for an interview. I was told to go to the human resources dept., where I met with a woman who was one of the department managers for an interview. This was one of the easier interviews I've had. The woman just read a list of questions off a sheet of paper (tell me about a time you gave excellent customer service, tell me about a time you had to deal with a difficult customer, tell me what you would say when approaching a customer on the sales floor). Even though I know I didn't make my answers as detailed as they should have been, it didn't have a negative effect on the interview. The woman was very nice and knew that I had a lot of previous experience working retail. The fact that I just was personable and acted professionally was enough to be offered a position a few minutes later.

There was a brief role play where the interviewer played the customer and I was to try to sell her a Macy's credit account.
Was interviewed for a seasonal position. Was told they have no seasonal positions, once they found out I was a college student. Made no sense to me quickly ended the interview.

The interview process was straightforward and fairly quick. It started with a phone interview from a recruiter or hiring representative who asked general questions about my background, availability, and interest in the role. The tone was professional but conversational, and the interviewer focused on making sure I could handle a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
I had one interview with the store manager and it lasted for about 45 minutes. The interview was all standard behavioral questions. I was offered the job on the spot.
