Me postulé en línea. El proceso tomó 1 día. Acudí a una entrevista en Macy's (Athens, GA) en sept 2011

Getting the interview was the easy part. The difficult part was standing our among the other applicants. I say this because I am a college student and I felt that I was well qualified for the position but the interviewer made a comment on two occasions that "it's a recession", "people with families need jobs". These comments made me feel that I was discounted because she assumed that I was still being cared for to whatever extent by my parents. An assumption that is not appropriate for an interviewer to do, you should be interviewed and evaluated based on your qualifications. Either way the questions were the usual. "Explain a time when you had to deal with an unfriendly customer." Along those lines.

What is your preferred amount of authority in a work environment?
Was interviewed for a seasonal position. Was told they have no seasonal positions, once they found out I was a college student. Made no sense to me quickly ended the interview.

The interview process was straightforward and fairly quick. It started with a phone interview from a recruiter or hiring representative who asked general questions about my background, availability, and interest in the role. The tone was professional but conversational, and the interviewer focused on making sure I could handle a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
I had one interview with the store manager and it lasted for about 45 minutes. The interview was all standard behavioral questions. I was offered the job on the spot.
