Me postulé en línea. El proceso tomó 6 meses. Acudí a una entrevista en MIT (Cambridge, MA) en oct 2024

      Entrevista

Overall, it was okay but LONG! Applied in early September 2024, phone screen in mid-late October, November 2024 they said they would like me to do a second round, and second round interview was scheduled for early December 2024. I followed up in late December (when I was told to) and they had no decision; followed up again in late January 2025; finally given the No in early February 2025. The length and leading on for so long felt disrespectful. Interviews: It was 2 rounds of interviews, starting with a phone screen and second round was a 3 hour in-person interview session. In the 2nd round, I met with a group of staff who were in the same advising position, administrators, and direct supervisors-- they were all great. Second interview was 1-1, not bad just remember to have well thought out answers and talking points to discuss-- they love when you ask questions. Third interview was 1-1 with the director, it seemed like he had already made up his mind and didn't like me as a candidate. I was asked to elaborate on my resume which is standard, but then got a very dismissive reply "so all your advising experience is in this one summer" (I've worked in this industry for about 3 years and have posiitons on my resume beginning in 2020). To have the director, probably the most important, be the last interview in three hours was very tough and overall leaving an interview feeling like I wasn't good enough for the role wasn't great. The reason I rate this as average was the dean who was hiring me was wonderful, we connected personally, she genuinely believed in my potential and sent me a very kind email despite not getting hired. *Advice: They ask you the same interview questions in each of the different interviews during the 3 hour session, be consistent*
