The initial response was very fast; I received an interview invitation the morning after applying. However, the experience became unprofessional from there. The recruiter called 16 minutes before the scheduled time and appeared to be in a significant hurry.
The entire 'interview' lasted only 4 minutes. I was cut off during my introduction to be asked specifically about a background in electricity. Despite my 9+ years of project management experience, an MBA, and several industry certifications like PMP, ITIL, AWS AI and etc, it felt as though the decision had been made before the call even began. If a specific technical background or an internal candidate is preferred, it would be much more respectful of candidates' time to screen for those requirements before scheduling a call. A 4-minute conversation is not a sufficient window to evaluate. If a specific technical niche is required, it should be screened before scheduling an interview with a qualified professional.
