I enjoyed the quick, first-round interview with HR to make sure everything lined up with my application correctly. The interviewer was very polite and personable. In the second round, with the company founder, it quickly came to light that he didn't feel I had the right software knowledge -- despite this software not being listed on the job description. The "nice to haves" were apparently a required aspect. I felt very mislead. While the interviewer did provide feedback (meaning, what experience they expected me to have), but when asked to elaborate, the 30-minute scheduled meeting was suddenly cut short. As I prepared well for the interview, and my strengths and software capabilities are clearly listed on my resume and website, I never should have made it to the second round, only to be tossed out. The interview process left me with a very bad impression.

It was an online interview with one of the recruiters. She was generally nice and to the point. No technical questions asked, just general HR stuff but she said technical stuff will be asked in the 2nd interview.
