The interview process for a Team Lead position at Lowe’s typically begins with an online application and resume submission through the company’s careers portal. Once your qualifications are reviewed, a recruiter or HR representative may reach out for a brief phone screening. During this initial call, you can expect to be asked about your work experience, leadership background, availability, and why you're interested in working at Lowe’s. If you pass this stage, you’ll usually be invited to an in-person interview at the store or a virtual interview via Zoom. This interview is often conducted by a store manager or a panel of supervisors and focuses on behavioral and situational questions that assess your leadership skills, problem-solving abilities, customer service mindset, and alignment with Lowe’s values. I had an initial phone interview, and was then called in for two follow-up on-site interviews at their distribution center. The first of the two interviews was very basic with a greeting of one of the managers of the department, and a second individual who was a peer of the position being applied for. This initial interview lasted less than an hour and was what appeared to be a culling process for the final candidates. I was invited back for a second interview, which was with the same two individuals. In this interview the pair of employees had a list of expected questions, of which were very pre-planned. The entire process felt very canned and when offering individualized responses, the interviewers were diligent about recording the responses.

Initial contact was very professional. Interview went well and very thorough. I was well informed of the requirements and the follow up process by the time I finished the interview. The hiring process was fast paced yet I was able to grasp everything and run with it from day one.
