It starts with an online application, sometimes followed by a short 15–20 minute phone or video screen where a recruiter checks your availability, experience and communication skills. After that, you’ll have an in-person interview with the hiring manager covering customer service, teamwork and basic job capabilities, with questions like how you’d handle a price dispute or a short register drawer.

Everything was online and I had to schedule an appointment for an interview, then a 10 minute conversation in store about why I want to work there and what hours I want. I was hired on the spot
