Recruiter phone call followed by hiring manager phone call followed by a take home coding assignment that was then reviewed with two senior engineers in another call. The response time was consistently quick, which was positive. I was informed after the call with the senior engineers that I was moving to the finals. The finals were then scheduled the next day. Then the day afterwards, the recruiter told me they went with another candidate, the finals were cancelled, and the position was taken down. Two weeks later, the position was reposted. I then emailed the recruiter and hiring manager for reconsideration and was told I didn't have the "technical expertise" for the management role. Wait a minute. Didn't I pass that technical round same day? Didn't they schedule the finals the day after? Also, was there really "another candidate?" Lively should consider candidates are interviewing them just like they are interviewing the candidates. Integrity is the first value listed by the company. This was a swing and a miss.
