An HR rep contacted contacted me. We spoke briefly about the position and then set up a time to screen me in more depth. After speaking to her, she decided I would be a good candidate and set me up with a phone interview with the Director of Ops. Usually a recruiter will prep you of what to expect but she spoke very casually about the work environment and how fun it would be to work there. She spoke highly about the management as well. Okay, great! Next I spoke to Director of Ops. He asked a series of questions and after answering them all, I then asked a series of questions in return. One of the questions I asked was what did he think of me as a candidate and would I be considered for the next steps. He agreed that I would be a great fit based on my background and that the HR rep would extend an in person invitation. After almost a week later, I received an email from the HR rep that they were not moving forward. Okay, that was interesting and certainly caught me off guard hence the reason I do not have an opinion other than, don't get your hopes up.
