The interview was awful. The person interviewing me was a direct report of the role which is quite out of line, particularly as she asked my salary expectations. When I told her, I heard a gasp, as if I was asking too much. They are offering a lower amount than I currently make for a more senior role than I currently have.

The recruiter didn’t ask almost anything about me, basically just my comp expectations and talked at length about the company.
My first screen with the recruiter went great, she was lovely and a quick communicator. The next round interview was with the hiring manager, and it was awful. She was dismissive, rude and seemingly suspicious of my over 20 years of experience/expertise. She scoffed at my being a part of a very publicized layoff in the tech industry, like I was beneath her. I felt shamed by this individual and cried after the interview (which I never do!). She made me feel worthless. I can only imagine how this person manages a team. Even if I was given an offer I would never work for this person/company. I don't usually write bad reviews, but this one has stuck with me.
