Disorganized, unprofessional, and a complete waste of time (with one exception)
I applied at the beginning of February and was contacted about a week later by Talent Acquisition to schedule a Teams interview for the next day. What followed was a frustratingly chaotic process, with multiple last-minute reschedules initiated by Talent Acquisition—due to being “too busy,” then sickness, then public holidays. The first interview alone took far too long to actually happen.
When it finally did, I was told to apply for a different role instead. I agreed and was sent an online assessment, which I completed immediately because the role was supposedly urgent.
The only positive part of this experience was the team manager. He was professional, skilled, and empathetic, and actually took the time to engage properly. After the earlier poor experience with Talent Acquisition, he was the reason I regained some interest in the role. However, even in this stage, there was clear internal disorganization—he had not received my assessment results, so I had to redo the evaluation live during the interview.
I then moved to a final interview with the team manager and another manager. While the team manager remained constructive and engaged, the other manager was the complete opposite—disengaged, negative from the start, and fixated on labeling me as “overqualified.” There was no meaningful attempt to assess my skills or have a proper discussion. The attitude came across as dismissive, unprofessional, and frankly disrespectful.
To make things worse, I was told I would receive feedback within three days. It actually took 12 days.
Overall, this process dragged on for over a month and felt like a complete waste of time and energy. Between repeated rescheduling by Talent Acquisition, poor internal communication, duplicated effort, and an unprofessional final interview, the entire experience reflects very poorly on the company’s hiring process—despite the strong impression left by the team manager.
