testing of skills, interpret a conversation going on, there was a vocabulary test as well, words where said in english and to be interpreted into the target language, all this was done over the phone

First, there is an Initial interview over the phone, Then, the Language Proficiency Screening takes place to assess your language skills (grammar, vocabulary, etc.). The last part is a pre-recorded mock call that you can prepare for by studying the vocabulary you are given in advance.

Short, it wasn't an actual interview. She just asked if I had experience and she did most of the talking. Said I was hired but then called again and rejected because of where I am from.

It's all done virtually. The initial interview is recorded and you can modify it as many times as you like.
2nd interview was a phone interview with a live person. Didn't take long.
