About a month after applying I started getting cold calls from a random number I didn't recognize. At first I ignored it thinking it was spam, especially since they never left a message, but after the fifth such call in the week I answered. The person on the other end told me they are calling from LPL about the position I applied to and immediately started going into a screening. The questions were standard until about 10 minutes in when they ask if I'm planning to move to Texas. The position I had applied to was listed in Fort Mill and I even double-checked while on the call to see if it had changed. When I pointed this out they said that the role was only available in Texas and the listing was mistaken. Since I wasn't willing to move we ended the call. Two months later I saw the same role get listed again for Fort Mill so I tried applying again and got auto-rejected within 24 hours.
