.They gave me a test wherein I cleared out with hr that my focus and solutions is on backend since that is my expertise.They said it is ok so I worked on solution and submitted it. Then I got a mail after a week to submit frontend and that my solution is not working in there machine. So I gave them a basic react js UI and also a docker solution which will run my code on all machine.Again they where not happy with my working solution.why to waste someone's time if you want a frontend engineer.
Unacceptable.

Recruiter calls + One live coding + system design which involved discussing problems that are closer to real world. Interview was with two engineers (one junior and one senior). The problem was more with the interviewer for me. He did not make it clear which part should I go into detail and in which part I should high level. Every time I tried entering into detail he said to stop and move to next topic and when I started staying at high level he pushed me into details. It created troubles for me give correct answers. My suggestions would be to set expectations clear on each part of the discussion. Of course I could have done better but, I never faced such type of interviewer at 10s of companies that I interviewed at.
