Applied online, and got called in for an interview a week later. One-on-one interview. Brisk. Friendly. Asked me about why I had a gap in working history and I explained. (I have a 2year college degree, and I worked one retail job prior,and had health issues) Asked about why I wanted to work at the store. Asked me about my availibility.) Then they told me some about what the cashiers do(other than just ringing customers out), and what role they play in customer service. I answered what position I applied to, and what I liked to do in my previous retail experience, and If I thought I could do what they had described. Everything seem to line up, so they handed me a sheet to fill out and sign , conditional job offer background check authorization. Also asked me about taxes, state and how I wanted it arranged. (single-1) Ended the interview letting me know that after the background check was done and passed, they would call me to have me come in for Orientation. The interviewer, seemed knowledgable about people and understanding towards those who are young with no experience or others with gaps in their work history. The employees there seem regular and the environment casual.
