Me postulé en línea. El proceso tomó 5 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en Keyence (Chicago, IL) en sept 2017
Entrevista
I applied online.
I was contacted to fill out a mechanical assessment test (very basic physics questions). Then I completed a seven question hirevue (online video application that records your answers).
Two weeks later I was flown out to Chicago to meet for an in person interview. The interview consisted of giving two sales pitches (one that they gave us the item before hand and one that they gave us the item right as we started). We also had a group interview to go over a simulated sales problem. The day was consumed by a series of technical demonstrations. Finally a single interview with pretty standard questions. I was disappointed in Keyence at this point because as someone with an engineering degree and actual experience it didn't seem like they took me seriously in this position - they basically kept saying - we feel like you're going to quit once a real engineering position opens up regardless of what I said.

All the questions were really simple normal interview questions
Very odd, one hirevue and then they fly you out to chicago. The chicago process is smooth. One interview and roll play. Great time to practice skills and continue to get better.

Tell me about yourself and to sell them a product I use everyday. They also asked for a time I showed dedication to achieve a goal.

The interview process starts with an informational session. After that, you complete a digital interview assessment, and only those who pass move on to a traditional Zoom interview. There are definitely a lot of stages you have to pass to get to the final round.

They may conduct a mock sales conversation where you will have to sell them something. Or they may ask you what you think will be the hardest part of the job.
Good practice for the job, multiple stages involving phone screening with HR, meeting with director, then mock presentation and interview with manager. Make sure to practice discovery questions for the mock presentations to help you understand client needs.
