I recently took part in the first stage of the interview process, which included a short three-minute video interview answering the question: “Why are you a good fit for this role at Keyence?” as well as a mechanical aptitude test. I felt confident about both parts — I tried to present myself clearly and thoughtfully in the video, and believed I performed quite well on the test. However, I later received an email stating that I had scored low on the mechanical test, without any further explanation or feedback. I also never received a response regarding my video interview. About five days later, I was informed that my application was unsuccessful. While the process itself was straightforward and well-organised, the lack of communication or constructive feedback was quite disheartening. It would have been helpful to understand where I could improve for future opportunities. Overall, I’d describe the experience as professional and efficient, but somewhat impersonal and lacking in engagement.
