      Entrevista

Three phases. First with a member of the Human Resrouces team and then with two different managers from the department of the job position. On average 1-2 weeks between interviews. All interviews were online.

Me postulé en línea. El proceso tomó 2 meses. Acudí a una entrevista en Kencko

      Entrevista

DISCLAIMER - I'm not sure what happened, I had already published my review back on the 23rd of June, I noticed that somehow it went from being a NEGATIVE review experience to being displayed as a POSITIVE - hence I deleted it, and am publishing it again. During the interview process Kencko displayed itself as a place where: 1 - people seemingly do not communicate 2 - a place that does not respect their candidates I was really looking forward to interviewing with Kencko. The product and company are overall quite interesting and the team backing the project seem quite strong, having an intriguing background. I'm not sure how exactly the overall process actually would finally be, but the expectation is that it would consist of: 1 - HR intro and initial assessment interview 2 - Interview with hiring manager 3 - take home assessment 4 - panel interview with the team regarding take home assessment 5 - interview with CEO/founders (?) Following the first interview where the interviewer was "really impressed with me" I moved on to the second stage. Both interviews went quite well from my perspective, in fact this second interview was even scheduled quite quickly given that the second interviewer was "going on vacation for a few weeks" and didn't want to delay my process and be himself a blocker for the process - I was told that I should expect feedback a week from then, at maximum. Then everything fell apart. I emailed HR on the day before the deadline as I had no news, and to my surprise I received a reply with a single line stating that the second interviewer was on holiday, and that I should wait for his return. This was quite odd as it was the opposite of what I had been told by such interviewer. I acknowledged this answer but mentioned that the absentee said something completely different. I also asked when I could expect his return to better contextualise and plan things out and... I didn't receive any reply. (not even an explanation as to why I'm now told the exact opposite of what I was told before) Weeks passed and no news. For me it wasn't clear if the process was still moving forward or not, and what I should expect and when I should expect something so I: attempted calling HR - no one answered or called me back emailed HR again - my email was again ignored. reached out to HR on LinkedIn - the message was ignored, again This was now the fourth time they ignored me. Why? Why wasn't there a simple acknowledgement of when I could expect feedback?A simple time window? (I didn't even ask for an explanation of why contradicting information was being given) How can someone simply sit there and ignore someone asking a simple question, even more so from a candidate in which they apparently displayed such interest in to begin with? I can't even imagine how Kencko is treating their employees if they are treating a candidate like this. Eventually after a full month from the interview with the hiring manager they did send a generic template stating that they "decided to pursue other candidates". There wasn't any acknowledgement of the multiple contact attempts that they ignored or explanation as to why they ignored them or why they were giving out contradicting info to begin with. I highly doubt that they actually found a candidate since their job posting is still online and they are still accepting applications. Maybe I've dodged a bullet?
