I sent an email application and was contacted several weeks (might have been a couple of months) later. The screening process, including background check, is thorough, and not everyone makes it through. Kaplan really does want to be sure that it has the best possible teaching staff. I interviewed first by phone, then in person, and had to do a demo lesson.
Told to teach a lesson, was given lesson plan to do. Need to guide 3 students through a lesson, one person did not get it. Interviewer acts as the 3 students. kind of tripped me up when she went through them.

Had a pleasant interview process. The whole thing was quick and timely, finished all three parts of the interview process within 4 weeks. Everyone was very friendly, and the whole interview process was online, which was pretty convenient for me.
