The process was straight forward: I applied online, got contacted by the recruiter and had 3 phone screens + 1 case presentation. The process took long, approximately 2 months.
Overall the people I talked to were nice, but I felt it was too much to ask for the process to do a presentation and analysis of a set of data. While this might be becoming more common, it is significantly time consuming on the part of the candidate. Other companies like Google and Netflix, for example, don't necessarily ask such time investments to their candidates and are more considerate with their time.
After the case presentation, JUUL Labs went silent. I had to reach out to the recruiter multiple times just to be told that they restructuring and reviewing headcount. So positions were being frozen or cancelled. This is a total valid reason, but I would have appreciated if JUUL Labs would have been more proactive to let me know rather than me sending a couple of emails over a few weeks to find this out after all the time I invested. Overall it felt the last part of the process was sloppier.
