I applied online, and got an email from the engineering manager. There was a phone screen in which I was asked about my background, interests, thesis work etc. About 3 weeks later I filled an online application for employment and was called onsite. There were 5 interviews - 1 with their HR person and 4 1:1 interviews with potential colleagues and boss. The interviewers did a lot of selling, but to be honest with you I was already convinced. There was a lunch interview in the company cafeteria with the potential boss. There were a lot of behavioral questions, and my technical interview didn't go too well. All the hotel and travel arrangements were flawless. There were several candidates interviewing at that time, so my opinion is that the HR works very quickly.
