Applied online and had an initial phone interview a few days later. One week later I was contacted to schedule a face-to-face interview at one of their Grand Rapids,MI locations for the following week. Interview lasted for a 1.5 hours, but knew it was the wrong fit for me in 10 minutes. I was asked why I wasn’t taking notes during the interview? And another interviewer looked at my resume and questioned the fact that I have stayed at my last few companies for less than two years. I feel that these questions were unprofessional and made me feel a little awkward for the remainder of the time there. I sent a thank you for the main interviewers time. Six weeks later and I still have not even received a rejection email. I didn’t want the position, but I would have thought a company of Johnson Controls stature would at least have the courtesy of sending an email letting a candidate who took time off of work to come in let them know the position was filled. So unprofessional! Have respect for people’s time and efforts. I will not waste my time applying to this company in the future.
