First, a pre-screening programming problem that I had to write working code to solve. Two initial skype interviews with groups of people. Then a fly-out interview where I did a presentation on my research. I appreciated that they upgraded my hotel at the last minute to offer a better experience of Iowa City. Additionally, they coordinated with me to find the best times for flights. Overall, I think I would have gotten along great with the people. I think I could have prepared better for the presentation I gave, it was a bit robotic. I really liked the job and the people. It was very upsetting to get the rejection letter (they sent a physical letter!). Even though I was angry, I respect the hell out of them.

First, I was invited for an initial interview and they asked me to do a computational assessment with one week for submission deadline. I submitted the assessment same day I got access to it. They said the interview went "very well" and the computational assessment looked "really well done". Then, they asked me for an in-person interview at their lab in North Liberty. They said they'll get back to me in the following week. I got an email from their HR about 10 days after the in-person interview asking me again about my salary expectations and if I need visa sponsorship. I responded with my expectations and they said they will get back to me by the end of the week. They responded with a rejection after 3 weeks exactly from the in-person interview date. When I asked them for feedback/clarification, they said "apologies it did not work out. They are just looking for someone with just a bit more industry experience.". Did they just realize that? They could've saved my time from the initial interview and mentioned their expectations. It's funny that they mentioned they want someone with industry experience for that position, while the current employee in that position joined as an entry-level after graduation lol. Their job description is the worst you can see. Overall, don't consider them for even an application. The team is not big, ppl don't seem to be happy or high ambitions there.
