I applied for the job through LinkedIn, then wrote to the recruiter alerting her to my application. She replied right away. We spoke a few days later and agreed I looked like a great fit. I interviewed in person with 3 people - Internal Client, Outgoing current Manager, VP the position reports to - and did really well.
