Me postulé en línea. Acudí a una entrevista en Interaction Design Foundation (Remote, OR) en feb 2018

      Entrevista

The interview and email correspondence were conducted with both founders. The entire process, starting with the first interview took about 6+ weeks. I had gotten to mid-stage, in which a test assignment had to be completed. All went fairly well until this point in time. Unfortunately after sending in my assignment, I did not receive a response, despite following up. Eventually they sent a rejection email, but this was much later that it was untimely. In their rejection email, they had offered applicants an access to their online courses for a stipulated duration of time - yet failed to get back at all when I sent in a reply about this. Their communication in the later stages of the application were unprofessional - particularly so as this was with applicants that had invested time in completing their assignment - and could have been better managed.

Hi there, Our apologies! Back in the spring of 2018, we had a different hiring process which we have now completely redesigned: Back then, we literally got a tsunami of applications. Although we tried our best, a few applicants were left stranded or hanging. You must of have been one of those. We simply could not keep up with the hundreds and hundres of applications flooding our inboxes. My sincere apologies for that - that was by no means our intention! I can assure you that we learned our lesson: We have now completely redesigned our hiring/interview process and purposely made it a bit more difficult to apply. We now get much fewer applications, and the quality of applications is significantly higher. That means that we're able to dedicate a lot more time to each applicant and also make sure that the whole process is 110% thorough and fair. In other words, your frustration has been duly noted and has been turned into something productive, i.e. turned into input into a complete redesign of our hiring/interview process. I hope there is at least a little consolation in that fact :-) But again, my sincere apologies.
