Worst interview ever. Look, I'm a veteran and expected more from a company that is veteran owned. I've been in govt contracting for almost 30 years. The questions asked to me were better suited for a beginner (where I see myself in 5 years), then I was asked a list of personality questions, but they really weren't about personality. I was asked about my time management and then told to give a rating...then 2 of the interviewers bragged how they went without sleep for days before... why did that matter? Also, I have a few jobs where I spent 2 years at...and one interviewer said "Is that what we can expect here?". Really. This is the DC area and fact is, people do spend 2 years at a job normally. Plus, this was rather early in my career some were stepping stones...you know, accumulating knowledge!
It sounded like it was an interview to convince me not to work there. Also, one would ask me a question and then check her phone and get up and leave the room while I was mid sentence. The whole experience was unprofessional. No wonder this position is still unfilled. The recruiter did what he was supposed to, he sold the opportunity and the company. The interviewers, however did an awful job. I suggest that someone else do the interviews or teach others what is appropriate to ask. I would also recommend that they do not use the same questions for every candidate or to tailor questions based on the candidate's experience. After this interview, I told the recruiter to withdraw me immediately.
One last point, the person who I would have to report to was trying to push a door open that said "Pull".
Even if I did get an offer, I'd decline it. Like I said before, I expected more from a veteran owned company. I know the company is successful however the interviewers were awful representatives. Just awful.
