I met with the Corporate Recruiter who was very unorganized and scattered. She talked for most of the interview. It was as though she had made her mind up that she would hire me after merely seeing my resume and shaking my hand. I knew I had the job in the bag after just 10 minutes in. I told her I had another offer on the table, and a third interview the next day with another company, so she offered me the position on the spot. Then she told me their "competitive base salary" was only $3,000/month. I told her my current offer was more than twice that amount. She said she would talk to the higher ups to see if they could adjust their offer, then get back to me the next day. She never replied to any of my followup emails so I accepted the other job. She was very nice in person, but turned out to be quite unprofessional . Why not just respond to my email saying you can't do any better with the base salary?
