Phone screening with an internal recruiter. Was asked if I knew anything about Integer and explained my understanding of the company. The recruiter replied with a canned description of the company. When asked to explain gaps in my resume, I shared my experience having an ill family member and having the opportunity to take some time to rest and recharge, to which the recruiter replied "What's to say your family member won't get sick again, and you'll leave this job too?" I told the recruiter I wasn't comfortable continuing the interview and would like to withdraw my application, they hung up immediately thereafter. I found the question to be extremely disrespectful and lacking any tact whatsoever, especially for a company whose mission is to enhance patient lives. If my resume gaps caused concern, I would rather have just been rejected outright, than subjected to a what-if question about the illness that devastated my family. My interaction with this recruiter told me everything I needed to know about how this organization treats its employees. I would not recommend this experience to anybody.
