It started out with an application that I actually didn't finish because they wanted my work history going back 10 years, including supervisor names and contact information. Honestly, who is still in the job they had 10 years ago? Also, most of that information is already contained on my resume. It would have taken too much time to fill that all out. Nonetheless, I got a call from their recruiter for a brief interview. She started out by telling me about the position and it sounded like it might be a good fit for my experience...but the next thing she told me was that they require 2-3 days a week in their office, which is in a suburb very far from where I live. She mentioned that that was a dealbreaker for other candidates and I said it was for me, too. If they were in downtown Chicago, ok, but who wants to spend 6-12 hours in the car every week? Evidently, they're not concerned with COVID, either. Pass.
