The recruiters were awesome, but the hiring manager was a different story. If you have a candidate in mind that you want to hire why waste your time with interviewing? When I stepped in the door, he wasn't at all nice. I have never been in an interview that was so unprofessional. Based on the personality profile, I was told that relationship building (my strength) in this position is frowned upon. I was expected to drive customers to the breaking point. In other words to the point of throwing me out. I was also told that after we get the clients money, we can start to build a relationship at that point. At this point I was scratching my head. He went on to talk about how he needed to get rid of some of his existing employees. He said that he was on the fence with hiring me. What really threw me off was marketing expectations. Pulling business cards and then coming back to the office to set appointments are marketing styles of the 80's. In addition, he expected the person hired to split bonuses with a senior person for a year and a half. Asking about corporate leads seemed to be a bad question. After a few questions I decided in my mind that this wasn't worth it and took every opportunity to shorten the interview. If this is a sample size of the company, they have issues. Being in one of the largest markets in the nation it was a very bad representation of the company. Now I understand why Insperity decided not to internally promote district managers and to create training programs for outsourced talent.

Give me a time when you were asked to leave an account that could have physically led to an altercation.

Recruiter sent me a message on LinkedIn, Phone call with them, then main recruiter phone call. Then 2 rounds with different District Managers and last round with Regional Manager & DM.
Great communication and set detailed expectations. 3 rounds of interviews. After each interview I left feeling more optimistic about the opportunity and the company as a whole. Building a good culture is important to Insperity and it shows.

They did a very good job. First call with recruiter then I had two interviews. Overall it was a very good interview experience. It does seem like the Louisiana market will be closing so not sure how helpful this will be.
