Apparently, "marketing" means "using your own money and car to drive all over and standing in Sams and Costco and selling their products." This is not what the job was advertised as. Everyone in the office (including the hiring manager) is so young that it looked suspicious. The first interview was shared with another person, and maybe lasted ten minutes. They called me in for a second "interview" but only told me four hours beforehand that said "interview" was to take place at a Sams Club in Round Rock, a significant drive away. I emailed their human resources address (the one they used to send me the instructions to go to Round Rock) to say that I would not be attending the interview, and the email bounced back as un-deliverable. Upon looking for another email address, I noticed that the ONLY available address was their "careers" address. Even as I was in their office, they were calling people in for interviews, and I saw three others interview while I was there. I think anyone who sent in a resume got an interview. When I didn't show up for the second interview, the guy who was supposed to conduct it called me (they didn't notify him that I wasn't coming). I found this the most suspicious of all, because companies that are not desperate to hire do not call you when you don't show up for an interview; they just scratch you off the list.

None. The first interview was a joke. The questions were textbook management variety such as "what qualities do you think we are looking for in a person to fill this position?" I was already suspicious of the job and therefore distinguished myself in no way, but was still called back and told I was a "top candidate" The most "unexpected" part was when I was asked to use my own gas money to drive to a distant Sams club for the second "hands on interview," at which point I declined to continue the process.

On the day of my interview I received a call from the Infinity One office to confirm whether or not I would be coming in to speak with the hiring manager. The call came only an hour before my scheduled interview, which I found to be odd. When I arrived at their office I came to find that the room was full of other candidate waiting to interview for the same position. The call, I'm sure, was simply to ensure that there would be no gaps in their day. The entire process was extremely unprofessional and the job description greatly embellished. Marketing Representatives at Infinity ONE are tasked with giving live demos of consumer products at big box stores, something that would be more comparable to an outside sales position.
