Initial interview was a phone screening with a Jr. HR person. Some very typical questions (strengths, weaknesses, etc.). Subsequent in person interviews with a series of two people in the department (including VP) and head of HR. Also did writing assessment test (timed, at home). Long period of time in between communications, seemed like they didn't have all of their ducks in a row about what they wanted. When asked about office culture, everyone tried to diplomatically answer and used key words and phrases like "challenging", etc. Which I assumed to be in reference to their CEO, which a friend of mine who had previously worked there referred to as a "tyrant" (also see reviews with similar comments here on Glassdoor).
